This morning the signing of a new collaboration agreement between our university and the representatives of the main industrial areas of Vigo and its area of influence became effective.
Our colleague Cristina Liao, responsible for in-Company Programs and Consulting, presented the training offer and academic model of our university to the business owners, generating great expectations.
Representing the business areas, David Regades, delegate of the Vigo Free Trade Zone (promoter of the Balaídos areas, Bouzas commercial area, Vigo technology and logistics park, Porto do Molle in Nigrán and industrial estate A) participated in the meeting. Granxa); Indalecio Cuevas, president of the A Granxa Conservation Urban Planning Entity; Santiago Gómara, president of the As Gándaras-Porriño Business Association; Manuel Castro, president of the Mos Business Association; Jesús González, president of the Areas – Tui Business Association; Juan Carlos Lemos, president of the Association of Owners and Businessmen of the Chan da Ponte Industrial Estate – Salvaterra; Javier Díaz, president of the A Pasaxe Business Association, and Roberto Cavallo, president of the Entity for the Conservation of the PTL of Vigo.
Thanks to this alliance, companies will be able to benefit from exclusive discounts on undergraduate and postgraduate studies, as well as access training programs adapted to their needs.
The meeting was also attended by representatives of ABANCA, who signed a new financing plan specially designed to fully satisfy the needs of companies located in these industrial areas. With this new agreement, ABANCA activates an additional line of credit with 325 million euros, expandable up to 375 million, to attract investment projects that strengthen the competitiveness of these spaces.
