Library

Having an accessible and up-to-date library on campus is crucial in any learning process. At UIE, we provide you with the most complete catalog of bibliographic and reference works.

Multi-campus libraries

Multi-campus libraries we have at Universidad Intercontinental de la empresa are much more than libraries. They are vehicles for students to develop their data collection skills in order to:

Analysis

UIE has three multi-campus libraries with virtual access, specialized in the branches of knowledge of business economics, information systems and new technologies.

The libraries of the A Coruña and Vigo campuses have reading rooms, with the main books for study, and team work spaces, where information is researched and shared to learn and create with the support of periodicals and reference works.

We believe in the concept of the library as an open space for learning and support for the development of information skills. The opening hours and user service (except at Christmas, Easter and summer breaks) are:

  • A Coruña Campus.
Reading, reference and research room: Mon-Fri from 9.00 AM to 9.00 PM. Saturdays from 9.00 AM to 1.00 PM.
  • Vigo Campus.
Reading, reference and research room: Mon-Fri from 9.00 AM to 9.00 PM. Saturdays from 9.00 AM to 1.00 PM.
    On-site reference service: Mon-Fri from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Tue-Thu from 3:30 PM to 7 PM.

Online consultation of the library catalog

The significant investment made by UIE in learning technology has enabled us to develop an online system for consulting the catalog, encompassing both bibliographic and non-bibliographic resources. Additionally, the virtual campus and library have been integrated, featuring a section dedicated to the bibliography and relevant documentation for each subject.

What to expect when you visit the on-site library?

At UIE, our on-site libraries have a collection of over 13,000 volumes, including manuals, essays, and reference works. Additionally, the university is subscribed to both national and international periodicals, in both print and electronic formats. The academic and specialized publications that we provide to our students are a vital support for research aimed at the completion of their Bachelor’s and Master’s theses.

In the library our students will also have access to a small collection of audiovisual, e-books and connections to legislative and business databases.

Over 13,000 books
720 sectoral studies
770 economic studies
Over 200 business directories
Biographies, dictionaries, regulations and more.

AND

Access to Bachelor's and Master's theses!

One of the main features of our library is that you will have access from any device to almost 4,000 research projects produced since 1988. This includes Bachelor’s and Master’s theses and research exercises elaborated by students, which are collected in an institutional repository.

At present time consultation of these projects has become essential when elaborating research works, either as a model or as a starting point.

All bibliographic resources can be accessed through the online catalog, which is accessible both from the website and the virtual campus.
The faculty’s bibliographic recommendations listed in the learning agreements for each subject taught in UIE’s bachelor’s and master’s programs are specially relevant and are available for loan.
To facilitate the preparation of research work, institutional and business websites are grouped and recommended by subject or sector, with information that is freely accessible and selected for its reliability.
