The ownership of the portal www.uie.edu (hereinafter also referred to as the “Portal” or the “Website”) belongs to UIE, which makes it available to Internet Users, with the purpose of providing information about its services, products, and activities, as well as enabling the provision of certain services through the Portal, referred to as “online”.

ACCESS AND USE TERMS

The User’s access and subsequent use of the Portal imply their full, express, and unconditional agreement with all of its content and involve accepting and becoming acquainted with the present terms and conditions, communications, warnings, and other legal notices contained on the Website.

If the User does not agree with the content of these terms and conditions of navigation, they should leave the Website and will not be able to access or use the services it offers.

UIE may unilaterally modify the present Website and its content at any time it deems appropriate, including deleting, limiting, or temporarily or permanently suspending it, as well as preventing access to it, while striving to inform the User of such changes whenever circumstances permit, through their publication on the Website.

UIE reserves the right to modify the terms and conditions that govern the access and use of the Website at any time, thus it is recommended to periodically review them.

INTELLECTUAL AND/OR INDUSTRIAL PROPERTY

All rights related to industrial and/or intellectual property present on this website, as well as its contents (texts, logos, images, sounds, audio, videos, etc.), are the exclusive property of UIE and/or third-party providers of information and/or content provided by UIE based on existing agreements with them.

The exclusive exercise of exploitation, reproduction, distribution, public communication, and transformation rights belong to UIE.

The User may view all elements available on the Website, physically, as long as it is solely and exclusively for personal and private use. Therefore, the commercial use, distribution, modification, alteration, or decompilation of these elements is strictly prohibited.

UIE does not grant any license or authorization for the use of its intellectual and/or industrial property rights or any other property or right related to the website or its contents.

LIABILITY

UIE disclaims any liability for damages of any kind that may arise from accessing content, information, advertising, opinions, concepts, and images provided to Users that are contrary to the law, morals, good faith, and public order, infringe intellectual or industrial property rights, or contain any defects, flaws, computer viruses, or similar software routines.

Upon becoming aware that any of the content, opinions, and concepts hosted on the Website are contrary to the law, morals, good faith, and public order, or contain any type of computer virus or similar software routine, UIE will proceed to remove them.

INFORMATION AND CONTENTS

UIE does not assume any responsibility for the information contained on third-party websites that can be accessed through links or search engines on the website. The presence of links on these web pages serves purely informational purposes and in no case implies a suggestion, invitation, or recommendation regarding them.

The User will not carry out any actions through the services provided by UIE that cause damage or alterations to the content, nor will they obstruct the proper functioning of the website, causing technical problems of any kind, transferring elements susceptible to carrying computer viruses or causing damage, interfering, or intercepting the website in whole or in part. The User will also refrain from intervening or altering the email of other Users.

The User is solely responsible for the accuracy of the data entered. In case of providing false or inaccurate information, UIE reserves the right to prohibit access to this website.

UIE does not guarantee the availability and continuous operation of this website and its services.

Thus, any liability for damages of any nature that may arise from the lack of availability or continuity of the operation of the website and its services, and the usefulness that Users may attribute to this website, is excluded.

In any case, UIE will make its best efforts to maintain continuous availability of this website.

Although UIE has implemented appropriate measures to ensure security in this matter, it does not control or guarantee the absence of viruses or other elements in the content of this website that could cause alterations to the User’s computer system (software and hardware) or to the electronic documents and files stored on their computer system.

Except where expressly authorized by UIE, establishing links or hyperlinks from third-party websites to UIE’s web pages other than the main page (or home) of its portal is prohibited, as well as presenting UIE’s web pages or the information contained therein under frames, distinctive signs, trademarks, or trade names of another person, company, or entity.

Users, and in general those who intend to establish a hyperlink between their website and UIE’s website (hereinafter, the hyperlink), must comply, at a minimum, with the following conditions, provided that UIE has approved it and without prejudice to UIE’s right to revoke it at any time:

APPLICABLE LAW AND JURISDICTION

The provision of the website service and these access and use conditions are governed by Spanish law. To the extent permitted by law, the parties, with express waiver of any other jurisdiction that may correspond to them, agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the Courts and Tribunals of the city of Santiago de Compostela.
