The program of activities, in which 75 1st year Baccalaureate students from Ourense and surrounding areas participate, will last 4 days and will culminate on Sunday, April 16, with the celebration of the General Assembly, a recreation of a European Parliament debate in the Ourense Foundation Headquarters.
This activity is part of the collaboration agreement signed by UIE and the European Youth Parliament last January

At UIE we collaborate in the promotion of a new activity of the association European Youth Parliament in Galicia. This time it was the celebration of the Regional Assembly, whose activity took place for 4 days in the city of Ourense in which 75 1st year Baccalaureate students debated the present and future of Europe. The Regional Assemblies are usually the students’ first contact with the activities of the European Youth Parliament.
This program of activities ended on Sunday, April 16, with the celebration of the General Assembly, a recreation of a debate in the European Parliament, at Afundación de Ourense Headquarters. The closing ceremony was attended by the mayor of the City of Ourense, Gonzalo Pérez Jácome, and the Coordinator of International Relations of the Intercontinental Business University, UIE, Begoña Jamardo.
This initiative is part of the collaboration agreement signed by the UIE and the European Youth Parliament last January. The objective of this agreement is to promote knowledge among young people of the European institutions, their nations, their inhabitants and the current issues that affect them, as well as to promote the active participation in them of the students of UIE, the only Galician university that has signed an alliance with the European Youth Parliament.
