This week our Vigo Campus hosted the recording of a special Radio Vigo program focused on our university and its educational model.
The programs participants were: our General Secretary: Pedro Otero Espinar, three students from our Vigo Campus: Ana Sánchez Goicoechea, student of the degree in Digital Business Administration, Manuel Martínez Cortiñas and Pablo Rodríguez Aguiño, students of the degree in Business Engineering, and our two deans: Eladio Dapena Gonzalez and Alvaro Gómez Vieites.
Pedro Otero took a tour of the history of our university, “a quality public service project with a very demanding future ahead loaded with great challenges, such as the opening of new degrees, the expansion of international reach and the recovery of talent from emigrated teachers”, among others.
The three students, for their part, highlighted the keys to their satisfaction with the model of our university: theory with 100% practical application, group work and preparation for the world of work, common subjects that facilitate the change of degree and the focus towards the new technologies.
In their intervention in the program, our deans spoke of the challenges that our academic model that puts the student at the center poses for teachers: “it requires a lot of dedication but is very satisfying since it allows the teacher to develop their full potential.” The deans also highlighted the rigorous processes carried out at the university to guarantee the quality of the teaching-learning process.
