Undoubtedly, innovation is one of the cornerstones on which the future of the agri-food industry’s value chain rests, while it must go hand in hand with market demands, supporting the consumer.

That is why we have chosen “The Future of Food” as the core theme for the Exponential Challenge by UIE. It is a challenge where we invite young talent to create exponential solutions resulting from the implementation of innovation and entrepreneurial methodologies.

The Exponential Challenge by UIE is much more than a scholarship; it represents the commitment of the Intercontinental University of Business (UIE) to generate opportunities for young people who want to develop their careers in the field of business management.

How the Exponential Challenge by UIE works?
How to participate?

The challenge

For four days (July 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th) you will be part of a teamwork, applying the exponential thinking and management model.

On July 8th: each group will be required to propose disruptive solutions to the challenge “The Future of Food” through scalable initiatives that can become realities.

To accomplish this, participants will be guided and advised at all times by a team of mentors specialized in generating exponential ideas.

Participant selection. Catalysts for change

The available slots are limited. Among all the applications received through our registration form, a selection process will be carried out for the challenge based on the following criteria, which you can also find in the terms and conditions.

The average grade of the subjects taken up so far will be taken into account for those students who are currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree.

In case the student has already graduated, the final average grade of the bachelor’s degree will be valued. This requirement will be weighted 30%.

We want to get to know you and find out if you are a creative and exponential person.
Send a videoselfie in which you introduce yourself and explain your motivation for enrollment. We are interested in learning about your passion and experience with new technologies, innovative business models, entrepreneurship, and anything else you’d like to share about yourself and our central theme for this Exponential Challenge: THE FUTURE OF FOOD.

The recording must not be longer than 1 minute. This requirement will be weighted 40% for the overall score calculation.

Having a minimum level of English proficiency is a necessary condition to advance in our exponential career. You will take a virtual test to determine your average level. This requirement will carry a weight of 30%.

All candidates for the Exponential Challenge must submit their updated résumé.

In this new edition, geographic and gender diversity will be taken into consideration according to the quality and quantity of applications. Additional selection criteria may be considered as appropriate if student demand exceeds availability.

About the award

All participants in the Exponential Challenge by UIE will receive training in innovation methodologies and the exponential management model.

Working in a team, participants will be required to present an exponential solution for the challenge “The Future of Food” faced with a jury panel that will assess its quality.

Winners will receive a 50% scholarship to pursue either the Master’s in Business Administration – MBA or the Master’s in Business Data Technology and Intelligence at UIE. The following prizes are established:

The process

Deadline: Monday, September 5th at 2:00 PM. All slots will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, provided they meet the profile characteristics of the change-makers we are seeking.

The event will take place on September 12th, 13th, 14th, and 15th.
Each team will work with an exponential coach to generate an
iniciative
for exponential change according to the following outline:

  • Definition of the iniciative. The purpose and specific area they want to change
    and
    improve.
  • Creation of a plan for a transformative solution.
  • Implementation: How they will implement this initiative in an exponential
    manner.
  • Participants will design their
    pitch
    for presenting their plan based on the established criteria.

The closing session will be held on September, 16th. Every team will present its initiative faced with a jury panel of and receive feedback.
